50+ years ago I lived in a fairly grotty bedsit in Lennox Gardens, SW1. Lord Carrington lived round the corner and had 2 bobbies outside his house at all times. I had an evening job at the Midnight Shop on Brompton Road (used by many celebrities, including Susan George-swoon), half killed myself in the Bunch of Grapes but one highlight was the roast chestnut brazier outside Harrods in the winter. Long gone no doubt :( It's desperately sad how our great country and Capital have gone so far downhill.
No waiting here although many photos are taken there: https://eastontowncenter.com/photo-gallery/ (go to Art section, very last part of gallery). Festooned in flowers even. Easton Mall, Columbus, Ohio, U.S. A pet project of Les Wexner (Limited Brands, Victorias Secret etc.; and confidant of Jeff Epstein -- but that's a different story). Yes, Britain has literally sold its heritage for props in American malls.
Last year I was at Almelvich Beach on the west coast of Scotland, doing my tour guide job. I had to phone the guest house in Ullapool that we were booked into that night. Oh dear, no signal. Then I spotted the phone box, unbelievably furnished with an actual pay phone, even more unbelievably it worked, and old technology proved it´s worth. Now I´m always looking for working phone boxes. it was a great feeling to phone as we did in antiquity.
Awe 🥰 Cecilia is a lovely name.....after the news over night I hope to God we can turn this country around and give her a country worth inheriting. Remember to do the old fashioned custom of crossing her palm with silver, it might turn out to be her fortune in years to come.
Great picture, Dominic. You are a very proud grandad. Some things (the best things in life) do stay the sameI loved reading your book Lots of fascinating facts about man's obsession with the yellow, shiny metal. There is so much more, even, you could say about gold - are you planning a sequel?
Congratulations Dominic on your grandchild. Fantastic news.
thank you
You thought you were rich: you are now! :)

Great little story
Welcome to the world, Cecilia 🐣
You must be made up of pure joy, congratulations to you all!
And...hopefully with a few more practices you'll remember how to hold babies 😉
What am I doing wrong? I don't think I've held a baby since my youngest 15 years ago
I'm only pulling your plonker - it looks like you're doing great!
Thank goodness!!!
Congratulations!
thank you!
