This month, perhaps because of the market turbulence, I would like to have a look at wealth preservation investment trusts.

These trusts generally have a mandate along the lines of either preserving inflation-adjusted capital over market cycles, having an absolute return (i.e. not losing money in nominal terms or, if you’re lucky, inflation-adjusted terms), or limiting losses when markets fall.

Here are the four trusts that I am going to look at - I own all of them in my portfolio.
