Further to the opportunities outlined here, here and in the helium report, I thought I should update subscribers on the tax loss purchases I was able to make, and what my plans now are with them.
A reminder of the logic of this trade. The North American tax year ends in December with the calendar year. Many Canadians and Americans sell their losers in order to realise a loss which they can offset against gains elsewhere to reduce their capital gains tax liabilities. The result is that certain stocks can get hit with a lot of selling pressure presenting an opportunity for bottom-fishers to pick up bargains.
