on the one hand they seem to be trying to head off reform, but then on the other hand they do stuff that will only enrage and drive more people to support Reform, is a bit confusing. Labour will not be able to u-turn on things they sign up to with the EU - don't know if this will have any effect on policy with regard to North Sea oil though
