This was a very interesting interview. I think TB's slightly Malthusian thinking is a bit out of kilter, with caloric availability per capita rising and fertility rates falling, but who knows. I checked quoted NYSE and NASDAQ tanker stocks such as Frontline plc, Nordic American Tankers, Teekay Tankers and so on but they all seem to be narrowly traded - a shame because what TB said made sense. More interviews with the the self made please.

You could check out Tufton Assets (SHIP / SHPP) - investment company which buys then leases tankers / bulkers etc.

Also Clarksons - shipping broker which has been riding a similar wave (excuse the pun!)

What a great guest. Also the previous excellent Francis Foster interview was from a no-show.

Interesting interview, thoughtful answers from someone with experience. Does he fancy going into politics? We could do with his like involved in running the country

I learned a lot from this interview, about tender meat, good fish, and bad government policies.

Is it going to be financial repression or not? Baxendale says likely, Frisby agrees. More on this please. Critical for any investment strategy. Russell Napier thinks it is almost certain, that it is the only tried option for governments to pay down debt. What are the ramifications? Capital controls a given, how to prepare? Investment strategy? End of, or shrivelling of, globalism?
