I don't understand the government's mindset. If you destroy the country, everyone worth anything will leave, you'll be left with people that are largely untaxable/ not productive and criminals.
How will you get any tax then? The game will be up. You have to at least be clever in your scams.. It's just weird to me.

An American's perspective: I live about 12 miles east of downtown LA. It can be toasty during the summer, but Palm Springs in the summer? You poor man! No one told you that spring and fall are the seasons to visit Palm Springs. Don't know about UK bias in broadcasting, but I beleive the three American networks are much less biased (before the Ellison takeover of CBS) than the privately owned Fox News propaganda machine, owned by (gasp) Rupert Murdoch. This piece of crap has divided and destroyed America with its lies (Murcoch even ruined the Dodgers for a decade or more). And there is no known cure for Trump's speeches from any pharma company. What I do is believe the opposite of what he says and I have the truth about 98% of the time or just don't listne, which works equally well and is much more pleasant.
That "future of transportation" you love so much is constantly getting in the way of firefighters, paramedics and cops and can't understand what a crime scene is. Fire chief of San Francisco says it's happening 1 to 2 times every single week
