Naples sounds wonderful! I've already told the kids to flee to the USA, I can't see the UK coming back from what's happening here for many, many years.
As for the self driving car I understood Tesla had turned the feature off, but this was a while back? Maybe they have a new version, I'd love a car that could drive me while I took a nap or read a book, but then I don't drive for a living and those that do won't be so keen I'm sure.
Great piece Dom. Elon’s Doge audits and Trump’s swagger has given me some optimism for the future. So many pundits are predicting a collapse. It’s hard to know what the future holds.
A lot of political risk embedded in Tesla. The Venn diagram of Democrat voter die hards and electric car aficionados must have a big overlap with the potential for sales to dry up, similar story in Europe.
One potential Tesla revenue stream not mentioned is the optimus robot - this is potentially a bigger stream than the cars.
Hi Dominic, I'll echo Andrew here. Would be interested in your thoughts now after a massive drop in share price. Apart from the anti-tesla narrative in the west it seems the AI gap between Tesla and it's Chinese rivals has shrunk considerably.
Hiya, I haven't bought shares in Tesla. I may do. The experience of driving in one was amazing and I think it is best seen as a software company which could dominate road transport. I think self-driving taxis could also soon be a thing.
Love/own/drive ICE trucks, and bit of a climate change sceptic (the bit about it being man-made) but have owned a Tesla MY for 2yrs. Would challenge any EV naysayer to drive one and then keep insisting EVs are not the future...
On a different topic, ( but one I'd like to hear Dom cover ) - it looks sadly, as if Javier Milei is in trouble over LIBRA ?
interesting background to the Sniper of Libra and Melania meme Coin, starts just after 2 mins in, up to 16 minutes .

It nudges you if yo aren't paying attention ...

In relation to your comments on the UK, it’s hard not to reach the conclusion that the nation has been deliberately weakened from within.

Yes, good point Jason I hadn’t thought about that

That's what changed my perspective. Actually trying it
Hello Dominic
Do you now have a different view on Musk since writing this piece,
or do you still stand by this idiot?
