Here is part 2 of the summer 2023 Best In Class, in which we identify the best small- and mid-caps in the natural resources sector.

If you missed, Part One, it is here. In Part One we looked at gold, lithium, nickel, platinum and palladium, silver, tin and energy.

In today’s piece I’m going to tell you about a new zinc company. I recently saw a presentation by its CEO and it was one of the best presentations by a company at this level that I have ever seen.

In addition, I am going to look at copper. I’m going to delay helium for various reasons explained below.

Copper

The Net Zero story has been around for a while now, but every time I look at the numbers, I come away thinking we are about to see a metals bull market of epic proportions. We may still be waiting, but it makes good sense to me to have plenty of copper in your portfolio.

The simplest way to play copper - indeed metals generally - especially if you are looking for an “own and forget” situation (where you don’t have to keep tracking the stock) is this:
