Free speech, government overreach and Immigration: interview with Peter McCormack
Your Sunday morning thought piece
This week’s piece about gold’s record-breaking price action created quite a stir. This bull market is not like previous bull markets. It’s not driven by retail buying. What’s driving it is far more significant than that. In case you missed it:
Meanwhile, I appeared on Pete McCormack’s new podcast this week. It’s long, so save it for next time you’re on a long walk/in the gym/cooking etc.
But here it is for your Sunday morning pleasure.
I’m delaying the follow up to my piece on sleep for another week because I am still experimenting ;) - though I think I have had a breakthrough.
And a reminder there are just a handful of tickets left for my “lecture with funny bits” at the Museum of Comedy on October 10th. This is a super interesting show, even though I say so myself. If you are free, I really recommend it.

Dear Dominic
Thankyou for the interview.
That was excellent.
I laughed out loud when you said that more people have a smart phone than a toilet.
Cearly the powerful (I prefer not to use the word government - as that implies legitimacy) have more interest in manipulating the poor, than in raising their standard of living.
In some countries, smart phone purchases are heavily subsidised by the powerful, such that more children have a smartphone than a bicycle, or a ball to play with.
But they get unlimited Face Book.
I wonder why ?
God Bless
Would you describe McCormack as a champagne socialist?
