Was it not always said to stick only to the ‘blue chip’ cryptos of bitcoin, ethereum and solana with everything else too far out the risk curve unless you’re prepared to lose it all on the roulette table of the smoking chicken fish or something similar. Probably a lot to be said for just BTC.

Keep notes of your trades: a single sentence of why? Notes are great for later reflection and present pacing.

A tough one. Looming fiscal crisis, volatility in over-bought safe havens… yet inflation eats cash.

These events feel like little more than a tree-shake, creating opportunities for those in the know.

More people take their own lives through a drop in social status than they ever do upon receiving critical health news.

Stay safe.

And lay off the leverage…!

Well Bitcoin does need a major correction to truly push higher. Though on the flip side the loss in faith created by a major pull back may create downward momentum spured by fear. Considering that bitcoin's only utility is basically to buy and hold to hope for a higher price who really knows what will be the overall outcome?

I'm not sure that it's only utility. I, for example, have used it to make and receive payment.

Are the solid cryptos like Bitcoin, Ethereum or XRP still good investments or is it wise to abort until we see what direction it is going to take?

Dominic Frisby's avatar

I think bitcoin is a great investment less sure about the other two

Perhaps we’ll see market move back up, or the start of a major correction? Who knows?

Who knows indeed.

Not enough can be said of position sizing. I've only just gotten around to reading this piece and part of my portfolio is spreadbetting crypto/ miners and have to say as bad as the downside was I was nowhere near being liquidated. Because I understand position sizes. Seen a big recovery since but still down slightly. Don't be overleveraged, it isn't worth it.

Are you suggesting gold and silver are a sell?

Depends on your time frame. Long term no. Short term - possibly, but no one including me knows
