Gold vs. Bitcoin: Another Fiery Debate
Peter Schiff, Michael Oliver, and Yours Truly Clash. Your Sunday thought piece
As your Sunday morning thought piece this week, I thought I’d post this debate between Peter Schiff, Michael Oliver and Yours Truly, which took place earlier in the week.
It got quite heated in places - and I have been told off by a friend for being to aggy in the first section - but hopefully there is still plenty to both enjoy and learn.
Peter, as ever, hates bitcoin. Michael is bearish. Yours Truly thinks there is room for both gold and bitcoin in our portfolios - why you have to choose one or the other is beyond me.
My thanks go to Simon Catt and Peter Gadsdon and the Mining Journal for organising it.
Anyway, enjoy!

If you haven’t already, take a look at my buddy Charlie Morris’s monthly gold report, Atlas Pulse. It is, in my view, the best gold newsletter out there, and, best of all, it’s free. Sign up here.
And, of course, if you are buying gold to protect yourself in these uncertain times, as always I recommend The Pure Gold Company. Pricing is competitive, quality of service is high. They deliver to the UK, the US, Canada and Europe or you can store your gold with them. More here.
Spot on Dominic - Gold and Bitcoin complement each other, something Charlie Morris has innovated on with his brilliant BOLD fund (c37% compound annual growth these past 2 years). Silver is a different matter and I suspect part at least of its long delay to catch up with Gold has been losing investors to Bitcoin.
BTC - Great idea originally... but now captured by the usual suspects.
