Dear Dominic Your latest piece illustrates why noboby with any sense listens to, or watches, any BBC output of any sort. I also am wrong age, wrong sex etc therefore a right-wing thug etc. Any danger of you ever coming back on GBNews? And I'm possibly your oldest fan at 78

Thanks Mike. I agree. They rejected their own audience.

GB News? Not likely, I'm afraid.

Well no surprises that the BBC is deeply lefty and respresents the views of only a small part of the populace (who are nevertheless all forced to pay for this). But to see in charted out like that is shocking.

Keep pitching your ideas to the BBC each year. By turning you away they are forced to reinforce their narrow world view. Diversity! Ha. No diversity of thought allowed.

Just cancel your license fee if you haven't already. Don't support them. If we all do this, they'll crumble and rightly so

It would be interesting to see what level of economic and financial education all these comedians have. In my experience, there is a strong correlation between economic/financial illiteracy and adhesion to far left (or just left) wing views.

Almost certainly

Luckily there are still loads of diverse comedy voices online. Your own hilarious output being the perfect example.

I think the political compass site itself is bias even if the methodology of the testing tries to remain neutral.

I'm less bothered about where someone is in the x-axis, it's all about the y.

Brexit was the watershed moment when modern British comedy suffered most, when the furrow of "Brexit voters are racist and thick" jokes most felt compelled to make was ploughed to the Earth's mantle

I agree. It’s all about the y. And Brexit was a watershed.

Quite true Dominic. Hence why we need to defund the anti-British Broadcasting Corporation.

It all started during the 80's. Banning Benny Hill, Carry on movies, and anything else sexualising women or portraying them as such. Magic Roundabout, The Gollywog, and every other other perceived racial insult. The last to go was "some mothers do have em" a buffoon man that was weak and feminine to the core, Frank Spencer. Betty was the saviour, as this buffoon could not even get dressed, without Betty.

I used to love Simon Evans goes to market. I downloaded it on Audible recently.

After a few listens I got myself into Count Arthur Strong. He'd never get commissioned now on BBC surely?

I don’t know but they are both very good.

I suppose you could remove the word 'Is' from the title of this piece along with the question mark and leave it at that.

Dominic Frisby's avatar

That was the original title but I thought I'd add some intrigue

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest, Dominic.

I have a simplistic theory of the route many working in the media must take, e.g. uni then become a SpAd or work for the BBC.

The latter then gives them the opportunity to find gigs for their uni chums who think they are edgy (laughter isn't the aim).

You now have a left-leaning propaganda machine funded by the people they despise.

Dominic, it is their (the big bag of cr*p) loss, you gave them their chance.

You have to ask yourself what exactly they are afraid of. Perhaps if you said you would pour acid over some Brexiteer, they would love you and luvvie comedians would stick up for you!

Recently asked why I like your comedy and I said it is comedy made through intelligence.

I have to say that like others I have long wondered why you left GB News Headliners, but that will have to stay private no doubt.

Take care. Can't wait to see your work with Leo and the three porn stars!

Smile to yourself - think of all you have and all you have achieved.

Best wishes. Kate

It’s almost embarrassing that the commissioner would make that statement about diversity. I’d like to see what she’d say if presented with this list in person.

As an aside, your hair is looking very thick. Are you using any treatment (if you don’t me asking)?

Nevertheless, despite nearly loosing the will to live, I waded through it just so i could post this comment ; - I would rather the BBC did not exist but since it does it should be paid for by advertising and not leech off the people by a compulsory tax. The notion that the BBC belongs to all of us is a downright lie. It does not reflect the ordinary people but rather a self-regarding, self-styled elite. The sooner it has to face economic reality the better
