Hmmm. That is worrying indeed.

I have used Revolut for 3 years or more now and very happy with them. Never had this problem.

But, I don't keep large amounts of cash on it. Any money that I send there is immediately "held" in gold, silver, stocks, or crypto. I then sell an amount needed before paying for something.

Your success with adding subscribers because of the “Great Decline” article is because that article was TOP NOTCH and very informative. I’m sure it took much more time than a normal article. “Long form content” is the top way to get more eyeballs. Keep up the good work.

Well done Frizza doing your friend a solid. Doubt Revolut would have coughed up but for your intervention

A good warning and a sad story. My guess is that these firms don't give a flying f ! and wouldn't have done anything had you not intervened. Anecdotally I've heard it's the same with insurance companies, often their first response is to deny and then see what they can get away with

I have a Wise account, which I like and again, I don't keep too much in there.

You are spot on with using credit cards but the easiest way is to use a pre paid debit card . I have used mine all over the world and have had no problems in purchasing anything other than fuel at the self service pumps......If lost as long as you only keep a minimal amount on it this will ensure your losses are minimal should it be stolen or cloned

Yeah, Revolut are a bit hit and miss. I had 1 instance where I sent funds and put a wrong digit on the Reference code. Revolut said don't worry - they would sort it. After 4 days of mailing and speaking to 5 or 6 reps - nothing happened. The company I'd sent the funds to, just returned them automatically, so all was well. Your advice here is spot on, don't keep too much in the account etc. They offer a crypto service also, but if they (Revolut) go down, so does your access to the crypto, plus their rates are not great, so as far as crypto is concerned, I've give em a miss. While I'm tapping the keys - could you do a piece on GLINT, the gold app. I would really like to hear your thoughts on this - U being a 'gold bug'. Is it safe, is the gold you buy really held in a vault in Switzerland and can you recover sais gold if GLINT went bust? Thank you, great info on here, always enjoy the posts!
