Back in the days of the Clinton government, residents living close to Fort Knox reported that over one weekend there was a non stop convoy of army trucks into and out of Fort Knox.

I'm puzzled how if Musk and Trump joke about it being stolen then surely the gold must be there. But then if US is solvent why did it take them so long to return Germany's gold (with different barcodes)? Or are they playing for time?
